At Rebel Boom, we’re proud to offer a collagen coffee powder that works beautifully in both
hot and cold beverages. But you may have noticed we recommend using a teaspoon in your
morning hot coffee, and a full scoop in cold blended drinks like smoothies or shakes.
Let’s break down why that matters — for both effectiveness and safety.
Adding a teaspoon of our collagen coffee powder to your hot cup of coffee enhances your
drink with collagen and our Mocha Vanilla flavor — without pushing your total caffeine intake
too high.
This is especially important because most brewed coffee already contains 80–100 mg of
caffeine per cup.
That’s why our label advises not to combine a full scoop with other caffeinated
products — it’s about avoiding excessive total caffeine, not the powder itself.
So when you’re drinking coffee + collagen, a teaspoon is the perfect match.
Cold drinks like smoothies, protein shakes, or blended iced lattes are typically either:
That makes them a great match for a full scoop of Collagen Coffee. You get the full benefits of the added collagen, flavor, and a moderate caffeine boost without overdoing it.
If you’re ever unsure, just remember:
1 (one) typical regular size cup of coffee = 1 teaspoon
1 (one) 8 oz. Size cold blended drink = 1 scoop
Your body (and taste buds) will thank you!
A: Great question! The label warning applies to a full scoop (16.6g), which contains 57 mg of
caffeine. We don’t recommend combining that much with other caffeinated drinks.
But a teaspoon (approx 2.5g) contains a much lower amount of caffeine (approx. 8.6 mg) and
is safe to mix with your regular cup of coffee.
A: A full scoop + a regular coffee would push your total caffeine intake over 130–150 mg, which
may be too much for some people — especially those sensitive to caffeine.
We want to keep things safe and enjoyable, so we recommend only using a teaspoon when
adding it to coffee.
A: Absolutely! Smoothies, protein shakes or cold blended drinks are usually low or caffeine-free. That makes them ideal for using the full scoop, giving you the most collagen and flavor — safely.
A: If you’re healthy and not caffeine-sensitive, you’ll likely be okay. But if you feel jittery, anxious, or have trouble sleeping, dial back the dose next time. When in doubt, stick to the teaspoon.
A: We recommend a maximum of one full scoop per day — whether used all at once in a cold drink, or divided into smaller servings (like teaspoons in coffee). Always follow label directions.
A: Great question! We apologize for this confusion. To clarify, you can try heating up your customized finished cold blended drink in a regular size coffee cup. It's that simple. It's a terrific option you can try. Your very own personalized cold blend served hot. This option would also include 1 (one) full scoop of Java Star in your customized finished cold blended drink. We hope that clears up any confusion.
We hope this information page and FAQ has been helpful. If you have any further questions regarding Java Star: Scoop vs. Teaspoon please contact our customer care team.
Thank you.
